Thomas Williams is a North Carolina registered engineer, general contractor, real estate broker and a former instructor at Wake Technical Community College.
He is a Certified EIFS 3rd party inspector and has over 24 years of experience in residential, commercial, industrial, and utility construction.
Tom is also a retired Progress Energy employee who worked in a number of sectors including industrial power, engineering, management and more.
Having married into a construction family, Tom has also designed and built new homes, as well as additions to existing homes. Since 1995, he has also been performing damage assessments on residential homes impacted by hurricanes, tornadoes, and other natural disasters.
In addition to all of his home construction, repair and inspection experience, Tom has written, prepared and taught Continuing Education courses on a variety of topics, including but not limited to:
- Home Inspection for various aspects of construction, inspection techniques, code issues, and
- Identifying failure of system as it related to the Home Inspection trade
Tom brings a lot of unbeatable experience to the HIES team, and we are proud to have him on board.
