Home Inspection Educational Seminars (HIES) was started by Richard B. Pontello in 1993 and now, instructors Eric Coates and Thomas Williams are carrying on the tradition of providing quality educational resources to North Carolina’s home inspectors.
Our instructors have nearly 50 years of combined experience in home inspections, construction, engineering and more, making them uniquely qualified to address the number of issues home inspectors are likely to come across.
In addition to his work with HIES, Eric is also involved with the NC Licensed Home Inspector Association, providing him with additional insights into the home inspecting world of regulations, legislation and more.
